The engine

This copy and its source

Built from the eduke32-wasm v0.2.4 source (commit 37b56ee) with Emscripten 6.0.5, with a few changes: online play and the Multiplayer menu entry are left out, the engine doesn't use JavaScript's eval (so the page can run under a strict security policy), saved games are kept in your browser, quitting offers to play again, and there are touch controls.

Complete source, the changes and the build scripts: github.com/AntAir267/duke3d-web. Upstream source: eduke32-wasm v0.2.4, mirrored at github.com/AntAir267/eduke32-wasm.

Fireleft mouse button or Right Ctrl
Open, useE
Jump / crouchSpace / Left Ctrl (C toggles crouch)
RunShift (Caps Lock for always run)
Weapons1 to 0, or the mouse wheel
InventoryEnter uses it, [ and ] pick
MapTab
Save / loadF2 / F3, quick save F6, quick load F9

These are EDuke32's modern defaults (plus the Up and Down arrows), so the 1996 help screens (F1) list different keys. Options > Controls changes them.

Touch screens

The left half of the screen is a move stick: put your thumb down anywhere there and slide (push to the edge to run). Drag on the right half to look around. FIRE shoots (drag on it to aim while firing); USE opens doors and switches, then JUMP, DUCK, KICK, WPN (next weapon) and ITEM (use the selected item). MAP and MENU are at the side. In menus, use the arrows with OK and BACK. Pressing a real key hides the touch controls.
